Atlantic Electric and Gas
Posted on: January 6th, 2008 by adminAtlantic Electric and Gas is part of Scottish and Southern Energy, who are one of the UK’s largest energy companies. They’re a FTSE 100 company and manage the largest distribution network in the UK.
They supply energy, both gas and electricity to around eight million households in the UK.
The company ethos is very much geared towards exploiting renewable energy sources, searching for ways to tap into one of our greatest yet most underused natural resources, the British climate. They built the country’s first deep water wind powered turbine, off the Scottish coast in the Moray Firth. They are also in the process of building a new hydro electric power generation station, the first in Britain for over 50 years.
They are innovators in renewable energy, even using waste vegetable products in their power generation. Like most energy companies they are keen to explore new ways of reducing carbon emissions and reducing energy consumption and offer a wide range of energy saving tips on their website.
You can see more about the company on Uswitch.com, and you can use their service to switch from your present supplier if you feel that their offering is better than your present deal.
