Posted on: July 21st, 2009 by Justin BecksMeridian Neue Energien and BP Solar Deutschland have entered an agreement for module supplies.
Meridian Neue Energien will apportion BP Solar with five rooftop projects. The projects are currently under construction and are expected to be fully operating sometime next month.
The partnership will utilize Meridian Neue Energien’s already in progress projects and combine the 5 MW module materials produced by BP Solar Deutschland.
Four of the five rooftop electric systems are to be placed on agricultural buildings in various federal states. The last solar panel project will be installed on the roof of a Michelin tire factory in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. The current project will also involve Meridian Neue Energien new business model which calls for the decontamination of roofs covered with asbestos.
Henry Bolz, managing director of Meridian Neue Energien, said that their “strategic aim is to continuously expand the portfolio of self projected photovoltaic systems and in this way to develop in the long term into a renewable energy provider. As solar company with decades-long experience and a large product portfolio, BP Solar is an optimal cooperation partner for this long-term plan.”
