Posted on: November 13th, 2009 by Jenson BrayshawUK-based company e-Motive, hoping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, had launched a series of electric scooters at prices starting from only £1399. Powered by the most modern electric battery and motor technology, running the e1S, e1, e1+, e3 and e5 models cost for as low as one pence per mile. According also to e-Motive, the vehicles can keep up with the petrol-fuelled scooters.
Speaking during the launch, Paul Williams, Managing Director of e-Motive, said that owning an affordable, zero-emission scooter is practical and desirable. He further added that e-Motive is the first scooter company to make electrically propelled vehicles an option for the UK’s ordinary consumers.
The e-Motive scooters will only be sold in 25 London and South East England dealers, where the public will have a chance to test-drive the vehicles. Each scooter has a two-year unrestricted mileage warranty, free roadside assistance, and after-sales dealer support and servicing.
