Each of the trial properties that were built offered a number of energy saving devices. This includes things like heat pumps and roof insulation that are all suppose to help the homes be way more energy effective than current homes. Many of the homes even had floor heating, which would keeps peoples’ feet warmer so they use less heat during the winter to keep the house warm.

Neil went on to say that he hopes that once the energy savings have been analyzed, other homes will be built like this that will help customers cut energy bills and reduce carbon emissions.
